Multi-award-winning jazz pianist Gwilym Simcock’s brilliant trio combine Simcock’s thrilling, melodic compositions with imaginative interpretations of great classics. The trio punch deep into exciting groove-based tunes inspired by Celtic rhythms and an eclectic mix of other influences. Grammy award-winning Tim Garland (reeds) and Simcock are two of the most outstanding composers of our time and regarded as among the very best in the world on their instruments. With Asaf Sirkis playing a custom-built percussion set of frame drums, bass udu, hang drum and more, Lighthouse exude a very special energy and excitement in performance.

The Beat Club brings the Fab 60s to Hovingham

An exciting LIVE show that recaptures The Cavern Club’s magical, merseybeat years in the 1960s. You’ll hear songs that were hits for The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Searchers, Drifters, Kinks…to name just a few from a list of iconic names. The FAB ‘60s (fronted by ‘scouser’ Steve Quillon) has appeared at theatres throughout theUKand you’re guaranteed to sing, scream, laugh and cheer! There is a Licensed Bar from 7pm till 11pm’ish.
