All Saints church Easter service, Easter Egg Hunt and flower display
A Easter message from Kate Giles and the team at All Saints:
Please join us at All Saints for our very special Easter Vigil on Saturday night at 7.30pm – a time of quiet reflection and prayer.
On Easter Sunday we will host the Benefice service starting at 10.30am, which will be followed by coffee and a family-friendly Easter Egg Hunt around the church! All are welcome..(for the service and/or the Easter Egg Hunt). Our service will be taken by the wonderful Canon Bill Ankers.
A display of Easter flowers will be in the church across the weekend, open all day to everyone.

Following their meeting on Monday 27th March 2023, our Parish Council members finalised their response to the Balk field planning application (No. 23/00037/MREM) and sent it through to Ryedale District Council last week. Although the stated consultation period is now over, people will still be able to comment on it until the date of the meeting (of the new North Yorkshire unitary council) where the decision will actually be made. Our latest understanding is that this will not be before June.
The Parish Council’s letter has taken into account residents’ views. This detailed response, while in principle supportive, expresses significant concerns about the plan in its current form, especially regarding the fact that development of only one of the two fields is covered by this application.

At the Ryedale Festival’s launch concert last Friday evening in Helmsley the full 2023 summer programme was revealed. We can now tell you that Slingsby has once again been included by Artistic Director Chris Glynn.
Slingsby’s All Saints’ church will host a coffee concert featuring the Dudok Quartet on Saturday 22nd July. They focus on Tchaikovsky, that most engaging and melodic of composers. Why not put the date in your diary now?
