Welcome to the website for the Parish of Slingsby, Fryton and South Holme.
The village of Slingsby lies 6 miles west of Malton on the B1257 road to Hovingham, Helmsley and the North Yorkshire Moors. Slingsby is about 2 miles north of Castle Howard and 16 miles from York.
The hamlet of Fryton lies half a mile west of Slingsby. Like Slingsby, it stretches between the Malton to Hovingham road and the line of the disused Thirsk and Malton railway that closed in 1964. South Holme lies a mile and a half north of Slingsby, on the road to Ness and the River Rye.
