Slingsby Produce Show on Saturday 16th September 2017

Slingsby South Holme and Fryton Produce and Pumpkin Show at Slingsby Village Hall on Saturday 16th September. Open to the public from 2 p.m.

Entry forms for the Show are available from Slingsby Village Shop, or from Trudy Carr at Mowbray Rise, Green Dyke Lane, Slingsby, and must be returned to Trudy before 8 p.m. on Wednesday 13th September.

There will be a raffle and teas. Admission is free, although donations will be gratefully accepted.

There will be some new classes including lemon drizzle loaf, 6 shortbread fingers, 8oz jar of bramble jelly, photograph of wildlife, photograph of scene/event in Slingsby, 4 coloured potatoes, decorated vegetables or fruit animal by children of any age.

Car Boot Sale: Sunday 10th September 2017

Car Boot Sale on Sunday 10th September on Slingsby’s sportsfield, from 7 am to 2 pm (weather and ground conditions permitting, of course).

This is the last sale for 2017

Cars £5, vans £7, trailers £2.

Slingsby Churchyard Market – 9th September 2017

 

Slingsby Church with the new metal tree pyramids in place

Saturday 9th September from 10 am to 12.30 pm at Slingsby Church.

Coffee and stalls in the churchyard, or inside the church if wet; cakes, produce, raffle etc. This coincides with the Yorkshire Historic Churches Trust ‘Ride and Stride’ day when churches throughout Yorkshire welcome visitors, some of them sponsored to raise money for the Trust’s work.

There will also be a guided tour of our own historic church at 11am for interested visitors and residents. Contributions of cakes/produce etc. gratefully received. Please bring on the day from 9.30am onwards or leave with Maurag Carmichael at Porch House, The Green.
