Queen’s birthday celebrations -a thank you

Thank you to those who made Sunday so memorable; to the Church and Chapel members, to our children who took part in the service and the placing of the new time capsule, to the group who put on the merry street party and the ceilidh, and even managed to stop the rain during the street party – just!

We are lucky to have people who give so much time and effort to bring about our many and various village events.  Thanks to you all.

The Local History Group is putting together a book in the same format as Slingsby Then and Now, but on the subject of farming, which has always been an important mainstay of the village.

If anyone has interesting old photos, stories, old records such as bills and milk records to fill in the picture, the compilers of the book would love to see them. Please contact David Thornley on 627210 or [email protected]
