Tuesday, March 22nd. 2011 at 3.0 pm.  The children of Slingsby CP School invite everyone to the unveiling of the art project plaque, depicting life in Slingsby, on Tuesday, March 22nd. 2011 at 3.0 pm and then enjoy refreshments at the French cafe organised by the children. All this takes place at the school on the Green, Slingsby. Everyone is most welcome.

Website’s first week a success

Slingsby’s new website received 78 visits on day one and 486 pages were downloaded (we have the technology…) Congratulations have been coming in from many quarters, both locally and further afield. Two messages were received from Australia. Many people have been tweeting (bless them…)

Perhaps most satisfying, was a personal message of congratulations received from Clare Wood, our County Councillor (Hovingham and Sheriff Hutton). Clare enjoyed using the website and believes it will help her work here. That should help us, I guess.

The Website team are not resting on their laurels. We intend to do more to ensure the website appears more prominently in searches, thereby ensuring it reaches a wider audience. Now, what about your news…
