Richard Rodgers Day in Escrick

QMSchoolEscrick

Thursday 24 July, 3pm and 7.30pm, Queen Margaret’s School, Escrick.

An event for all lovers of musical theatre and popular song.

It is not often that the Slingsby Village website advertises events in the York area, but there again it is not often that the Ryedale Festival visits York.

But this event is rather special. A rare opportunity to visit Queen Margaret’s School in Escrick to hear two concerts of music from the Richard Rodgers songbook, with the words of Hammerstein and Hart.

You have two different concerts in the school’s stunning new theatre (introduced by the music critic Edward Seckerson), separated by an extended interval where you can picnic in the delightful, manicured grounds.

The venue is located just off the A19 south of York.
