Beware those returning from Malton to Slingsby after 6pm!

From Thursday 14 March the B1257 between Slingsby, Barton-le-Street and Appleton-le-Street is scheduled to be closed for 7 evenings from 6pm to midnight. Signed diversions will be in place.

From Monday 18 March work will begin on the Amotherby to Malton stretch, with temporary traffic signals in place (8am to 5pm).

Finally from Monday 25 March, work will begin on the stretch from Hovingham through Fryton to Slingsby with temporary traffic signals in place (8am to 5pm).

In each case the work may take longer depending on weather conditions.

Happy to help, Beki. Let’s hope the works are completed on schedule (28 March for the Slingsby – Hovingham stretch, the last bit). Jon B
