Kanneh-Mason to play in your living room!

The Ryedale Festival is to go virtual for the first time.  Live streaming runs from 19 to 26 July. The chart-topping pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason will start the eight day festival on Sunday 19th July, playing Gershwin, Barber and Beethoven, live-streamed from Helmsley church at 3pm. She is no less accomplished than her cellist brother Sheku Kanneh-Mason, winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year, who made the headlines when he played at the Royal Wedding of Harry and Megan in 2018.

Other well-known names appearing during this free series of events include Rachel Podger and Tamsin-Waley Cohen.

The Ryedale Festival, backed by its loyal and enthusiastic local audience, hopes to reach an even wider cross-section of the community and also spread its reach well beyond Yorkshire.
