Professional photographer and Slingsby resident Neil Jackson has recently reached the finals in two major photography competitions, the Travel Photographer of the Year and the British Photography Awards.
The photograph above shows a solitary guillemot flying low over rippling water around Svalbard. It has been short-listed in the Birdlife category of the British Photography Awards.
