Slingsby Ladies Group

Slingsby Ladies Group has around 25 members and meets in the Methodist Schoolroom on the village green at 7.15 pm on the second Tuesday each month ( except August and January ). It is non- denominational. Originally the group was part of the WI but in March 1983 broke away to become a branch of the newly formed Yorkshire Countrywomen’s Association which has headquarters in York. Due to the rising costs of being part of a large organisation,  Slingsby Ladies Group was formed in June 2015 as an independent group, the membership being made up of ladies from Slingsby and surrounding villages. The purpose of the group is to bring ladies together for friendship, interesting speakers and outings and new members and visitors are always welcome.
