A celebration of the Tour de Yorkshire at Helmsley Methodist Church, Ashdale Road, Helmsley from Thursday 30th April to Monday 4th May from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day
On Sunday 3rd May there will be a Bike Festival Songs of Praise at the Church at 10.30 a.m.

Friends of Slingsby School – Scarecrow Weekend 2nd to 4th May 2015
The closing date for entering a scarecrow is Friday 24th April. An entry form can be downloaded here.
F.O.S.S. say:-
“You don’t need to be a fantastic artist/sculptor to join in – you just need a little imagination. We don’t have a theme, we don’t mind what they are made of – we just want you to have fun. Who is your favourite movie/tv/sports star? Can you make them from shoe boxes, newspaper and bin liners?
“Over May Day weekend, please support the Friends of Slingsby School by purchasing a trail (£2 each) from Robin Hood Caravan Park, The Grapes Inn or Tony’s Village Shop. The School Reading Rooms will be open from 12noon – 4pm on Saturday 2nd May and Sunday 3rd May. to sell trails as well as teas, coffees, juices and light snacks. It promises to be an excellent weekend for villagers and guests alike – it would be great to see you there.”
