Mindful of current scientific advice concerning public gatherings during the current pandemic, Ryedale Christian Council, conscious of the threat to participants and anxious to lead by example, has decided to postpone its Climate Change Conference planned for April 25th. at Lady Lumley’s, Pickering. It is hoped that we will be able to re-schedule the conference for November, although this date will depend on the progress of the virus. We regret this postponement and the inconvenience caused but believe it to be the right decision.

The Ryedale Festival Spring Event 27th – 29th March, 2020 has regrettably been cancelled because of the coronavirus and today’s government announcements.

Please note that the Parish Council meeting will go ahead this evening as planned. Copies of the agenda will be available at the meeting.

We have recently received reports of thieves going around the local villages, including one of the Castle Howard properties, siphoning oil out of tanks.

Please ensure your tanks are locked, remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to 101.
