10th December, 10 – 11.30. a.m. All Saints Church Slingsby. Open morning with coffee and mince pies. All members of congregation and village residents are invited to attend. All members of the PCC to attend who are able please.
The purpose of the meeting is to ‘discuss some proposed minor changes and improvements inside the church, and outside in the churchyard. The outside changes include the establishment of an additional memorial ashes area, as the present dedicated area is now full, and the continuing problem of the collapsed boundary wall. The PCC would like to hear your views.
Wednesday 7th December. Slingsby school will be hosting an open morning for parents, relatives, friends to come and see the children at work. To complete the morning we at the school are inviting all visitors to come and share finger buffet lunch held in the Reading Rooms that adjoin the school. We would love to welcome neighbours, and residents of the village to join us. In order to have an idea of numbers we would like anyone who is interested to collect a ticket from school free of charge. Tickets will be available in school from the 18th November.
