The Grapes – a message from the new owners

The Grapes Inn

Leigh and Catharine Spooner are the new owners of your village pub. They moved to Slingsby in January with their two children Alfie (aged 9) and Bea(aged 7) – and Lotti the dog. Before moving here they lived just outside Coulton, which is where Catharine grew up on the family farm.

There is a lot of work that needs to be done at the pub before it can re-open, but everyone is working as quickly as possible. The hope is that it will be up and running again at the beginning of August and we’ll keep you informed.

If anyone can assist with supplying local produce, has any old photos or knowledge of the pub’s history, has experience working behind a bar and would like a job, then please get in touch with either Leigh or Catharine. Call in at the pub or ring 01653 628076 / 01653 628025

Leigh and Catharine very much look forward to welcoming you all back to ‘The Grapes’ in a few weeks time.
