From the organisers:-

How much do you know about the objects held in Malton Museum’s stores ?

Our Collection is a substantial one and the Roman collection is of national importance, and although the majority of the collection is in store we wanted our Friends and visitors to have the opportunity to see some of our rare and beautiful objects.  Have you ever handled a prehistoric axe or a 2000 year old pot?   You can on 21st September.  This evening is a hands-on opportunity to demonstrate the breadth of the Museum’s collection and meet the volunteer team who handle these rare objects regularly. You will meet the team and be able to discuss the objects.

The lecture by Ann Clark, Collections Officer starts at 7.30 p.m. Admission free to Friends, £3 to visitors.
