Steph Robson at Badminton Horse Trials

RobsonS_Grassroots_BAD13kh_0161

This is Slingsby’s Steph Robson competing at the Grassroots championship held at Badminton on 1 and 2 May 2013.

She is riding ‘Tina’s Gold’.  Steph bought him as a young unbroken horse and trained him herself.

Steph came fifth in her class at the Grassroots championship, which is open to qualifying winners from eventing trials from all over the country. It takes place over the course on the first three days of Badminton Horse Trials.

Our thanks to Margaret Mackinder for this story.

A selection of Scarecrows

Here’s a small selection of the scarecrows from the Slingsby Scarecrow trail 2013 that took place last week.
The standard was very high as usual and I’d have to say that my favourite was a tartan wearing Nessy who had travelled all the way from Loch Ness to Slingsby just to take part 🙂
