Yorkshire Arboretum to Remain Closed

Contrary to what you may read in your copy of the February Triangle, the Yorkshire Arboretum will not now open on 1st February, as had originally been planned.

Director John Grimshaw says: “Although gardens and heritage landscapes may remain open, we are taking the view, alongside the Castle Howard estate, that for now we can best serve the spirit of lockdown by not encouraging people to travel outside their home areas for exercise. In consequence the arboretum will not reopen on 1 February as planned, which we know will be disappointing news for many, but we hope you will forgive us in these difficult times. At the present moment it is too early to say when we will be able to open again, but we will keep the situation under constant review and get the doors open as soon as possible”.
