Castle Howard road closed 2-13 October

Carrmire Gate

Owing to major repair works scheduled on the Carrmire Gate (that’s the lower, more southerly of the two arches), the Castle Howard road is expected to be closed at that point between Monday 2 and Friday 13 October. Signs are in place at the Terrington/Coneysthorpe crossroad and the Bulmer/Welburn crossroad (and elsewhere).

We expect traffic from the A64 will be diverted via Ganthorpe and Terrington.

Castle Howard, which will remain open as normal, apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. Should you have any concerns regarding access, please contact 01653 648333.
