Sunday 30th July from 1.30pm to 5.30pm at Croft Dene, The Balk, Slingsby (opposite the village shop). A summer Sunday afternoon in Pat’s garden with tea, cakes and music. Donations towards the Maypole Fund, which keeps our May Day celebrations going. All are very welcome.
Thursday 20th July at 6 p.m. in the Village Hall. The children and families of Slingsby School present an evening of entertainment. Nibbles and soft drinks provided. Minimum donation on the door £3 for non parents.

Dr Pete Wilson of Rarey Archaeology will guide two tours of Orchard Fields Roman Fort, Malton.
Much of the defences of the Fort survive as earthworks. The tour will examine the visible earthworks and put the Fort into the wider context of Roman Malton and Norton.
Please note this is a walking tour and the ground is uneven underfoot.

Please meet outside the Old Lodge, Old Maltongate, Malton YO17 7EG. The nearest parking is Wentworth Street Pay and Display, and Orchard Fields is a 5-10 minute walk uphill.
