Wildflower Walk 3rd June 2017

Saturday 3rd June at 10 a.m. meet on Slingsby Green. Wildflower Walk.

Join members of Slingsby Local History Group to look for and identify the wild flora of Slingsby. The area was once well known for its wildflowers and the variety of its hedgerow plants. This is now no longer the case, but Simon Conyers, a professional botanist with special expertise in wildflower meadows and their conservation, will help us to identify the many things that can, with knowledge, still be found.

Meet 10 a.m. on Slingsby Green to walk up to the top of Fryton Lane for 10.30 approx. start. Open to all.

Wear comfortable walking footwear (for mud if it has been wet).
