Slingsby Sports and Social Club offers holiday entertainment at the Club as follows:-
Christmas Eve – from 8pm. Singers Dec (50’s, 60’s and 70’s) and Laura (Dolly Parton tribute)
New Year’s Eve from 8pm. Singer Dave Miller (60’s 70’s and 80’s)
All are welcome and entry is free

Winter Welly Walks – Boxing Day 2016 and New Year’s Day 2017

Yorkshire Arboretum Winter Welly Walks from 10am – 3pm on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, kindly organised to raise Arboretum funds by a life member. The Arboretum says:-
“Take the chance to blow away the cobwebs after the seasonal festivities and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful surroundings of the Arboretum. Admission tickets are required for all taking part (members and non-members) and are £6 for adults, £4 for children aged 11-16 and £2 for children aged 5-10. Under 5’s are free. Please book via email or phone 01653 648598.
Your ticket includes entry to the Arboretum, hot or cold drinks, cake and plenty of festive cheer!”

Carol singing 13th December 2016

Carol singing on Tuesday 13th December. Meet at the Chapel at 6pm and then we will go and sing in Porch Farm Close, The Sycamores Bungalows, Aspen Way and Green Crescent. At 7pm we are due at The Grapes in Railway Street, where we will continue our singing over a good log fire and refreshments. Do come and join us.

Fish and Chips – 13th December 2016

Next delivery date for fish and chips -Tuesday 13th December,
Malton & Norton Lions Club kindly continue their delivery of fish chips and peas to Slingsby on the second Tuesday of each month, delivered to your door, and costing £3.
This service is mainly for the elderly and others who live alone. Contacts are Stephen and Rachel Prest tel 628277 and Trudy Carr 628302. Do get in touch if you would like to receive them.
